MalooruGundi Waterfalls

The Malooru Gundi is the perfect destination for anyone who is adventurous and for anyone who wants to go where most others wouldn’t.  This trip was one of the best hikes in life time; it has beautiful scenery of the Western-Ghats and ends at a breathtaking waterfall.

On initial stretch we crossed few mist kissed grasslands and later through thick jungles where sun never reached, every moment we spent in the rainforest was a moment to reflect upon, making the day even more surreal and after walking for an hour of medium toughness level terrain, finally we made to reach top of the waterfalls.

Goodanagundi Water Falls

The beauty around this fall in the form of lush-green forests, a beautiful high-cliff and constant drop of water makes it one of the most exotic destination in this location.

Few of us decided to take bath under the fall, its very exciting and fruitful, constant water drops of the stream falling over the body trigger every organ in a harmony. You constantly hear the constant hiss from the tumble of the waterfall, water breezes, and the occasional birdsong from the birds checking out the scene.

Sri Bhimalingeshwara Temple ( Kargal)

Sri Bhimalingeshwara Temple which is near to Kargal which is in Shivamogga District of Karnataka state.  This temple is very beautiful. On the way to temple you can view the beauty of “Sharavathi Valley Wildlife Sanctuary”. This place is suitable for medium level trekking.

From  Sagar town, go to Kargal.  Then go in “Kargal to Bhatkal” state highway nearly about 37km, then you will get “Bhimeshwar Bus Stop” (In Kogar Ghat). From that stop take right & go in mud road nearly 3 km which moves towards Bhimalingeshwara temple. The road is very steep & narrow and full  of ghat section.
