Mahabaleshvara Temple Gokarna & Nearest Beach

 
Gokarna is a sacred place situated in Karnataka.This place holds utmost faith of people and its peaceful environment at the view of sea attracts everyone. Gokarna, a small place in Karnataka is famous for ancient temples.Gokarna name depicts ear of cow.

 
It is believed that Shivaji was born by cow’s ear, due to which is place of known as Gokarna. and other than that there is an interesting fact about it , that this village situated at the confluence of three rivers and seems like an ear. There are many other beautiful temples ,which are the center of faith and assumptions.The confluence of two important rivers Gangavani and Adhyanashini can be seen.

 
Om Beach

Kudle Beach is located at a distance of 2 km from Gokarna town that travellers may visit if time permits. In order to reach this beach, tourists can take conduit from the southern side of Ganapati Temple.

Murudeshwar Temple

The Murudeshwar temple towers over this small beach town and the 123 feet high Shiva statue, tallest in the world, is visible from any part of the Murudehswar.
  The sea is an intrinsic part of the temple landscape at Murudeshwar. The sea surrounds the temple towering on the small hill called Kanduka Giri on three sides

Varanga Temple


 
Varang Jain Temple is a a very beautiful place with lots and lots of greenery around it and more over there are three Jain Temples in that place.
 
The Kere Basadi is the most beautiful and worth seeing place, places in between a lake [Kere] in Varanga. The jain basadi in the lake has four sided idols in four directions facing North, South, East and West.
